Σοβαρό περιστατικό επίθεσης εναντίον μελών της Αστυνομίας σημειώθηκε στη Λάρνακα.
Συγκεκριμένα, γύρω στις 11 το βράδυ λήφθηκε πληροφορία για φωτιά σε κάλαθο σκυβάλων, μπροστά από την εκκλησία των Αγίων Αυξεντίου και Ευσταθίου.
Κατά την άφιξη της αστυνομικής δύναμης, άγνωστα πρόσωπα εκτόξευσαν πυροτεχνήματα προς το πρωπορευόμενο περιπολικό, χωρίς να προκύψει οποιοσδήποτε τραυματισμός ή υλική ζημιά.
Στο σημείο έσπευσε και πυροσβεστική για την κατάσβεση της φωτιάς.
Διεξάγονται εξετάσεις προς εξακρίβωση των στοιχείων των δραστών.

New Year's Eve-like Scenes in Larnaca: Fireworks Thrown at Police
A serious incident occurred in Larnaca as unknown individuals attacked the Police with fireworks. Prior to the attack, a fire had been set in a trash can in front of the church of Saints Auxentios and Eustathios. Upon the arrival of the police, perpetrators launched fireworks at the patrol car, without causing any injuries or damage. The fire department rushed to extinguish the fire. The Police are conducting investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators. The incident occurred during a period of increased tension in anticipation of Easter.
