Lane Closures Scheduled for Highways in Cyprus

The Public Works Department has announced roadworks on highways in the provinces of Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, and Famagusta throughout January and February 2026. Specifically, from January 7th to 9th, electronic signs will be installed on the Nicosia-Larnaca (A2) and Limassol-Nicosia (A1) highways, resulting in temporary lane closures. Furthermore, from January 7th to 22nd (excluding Fridays and weekends), road marking work will be carried out on the Limassol-Nicosia (A1) highway, with partial lane closures. Drain cleaning work will take place on the Paphos-Limassol (A6) highway from January 5th to 15th, closing the fast lane. Finally, from January 7th to February 9th, safety barrier replacement work will be carried out on the Paphos-Polis (B7) road, closing one lane and allowing two-way traffic on the other.
