Pittokopitis: No Water Cuts in Paphos Despite Reduced Production Levels

The President of the Paphos Water Board (EOA), Charalambos Pittokopitis, assures that there will be no water cuts in Paphos, despite reduced water production from desalination plants and the Asprokremmos refinery due to the weather conditions. The reduction in production is due to the strong sea turbulence, which causes sediment to accumulate in the desalination plants, and recent rainfall, which carries debris to the refinery. Wells in the Xeros River have been reactivated to cover the losses. Mr. Pittokopitis states that the sea conditions have improved and the desalination plants are expected to return to normal production levels. He also appeals to consumers to limit water usage and avoid waste.
