Road Closures in Nicosia on Sunday Due to Running Races

Several roads in Nicosia will be closed to traffic on Sunday, January 18, 2026, due to the running races. Traffic will be diverted through adjacent streets, and the Police will be present in the area to assist the public and regulate traffic. Temporary road signs will also be installed to facilitate drivers. Specifically, streets such as Rigaes, Pafou, Mikis Theodorakis, Markou Drakou Square, Kinira, Nehru, Lord Byron, and sections of Georgiou Griva Digeni Avenue (with one lane closed) will be closed. Additionally, streets Prokopiou and Archangelou Michael (with one lane closed), Egypt Street, Omou Avenue (with one lane closed), Stasinou Avenue (with one lane closed), Archbishop Makarios B' Square, Konstantinou Palaiologou, Nikephorou Fokas, Athens, King George II, Spyros Christodoulou, Christakis Christofides, Aigaios, Archbishop Makarios III Street (in Palouriotissa), Agios Ilarionos, the Kantaras and Ilarionos roundabout (in Palouriotissa), streets Synergasias and Markou Botsari, as well as the turnaround on the Agios Ilarionos and Christou Samara roundabout will be closed.
