Onirama Splits After 25 Years: What Does Theodoros Marantinis Say?

The Greek band Onirama has announced its split after 25 years of collaboration. Theodoros Marantinis, a founding member and key figure of the group, stated that a large chapter is closing and he will continue alone, preparing new projects. The band was formed in 2000 by Marantinis and Dionysis Frantzis during their military service, with the addition of Giorgos and Dimitris Kokonidis and Kostas Karakatsanis. Initially, it was a hobby called “Mixing Up The Medicine”, but in 2003 it was renamed Onirama, meaning “Our Dreams”. Onirama achieved great success with songs such as “O Choros” (Close Your Eyes) and “Mia mera tha’rtheis”, and released a total of six albums, with “Klepsydra” going gold. They also collaborated with well-known artists such as Antonis Remos and Michalis Hatzigiannis. The band's dissolution marks the end of a significant musical era in Greece, but Theodoros Marantinis is determined to continue his musical journey with new creations and challenges.
