Grandson of Author Karagatsis Joins TV Adaptation of His Grandfather's Book

Dimitris Tarlou, grandson of M. Karagatsis and a well-known theater director, is participating in the ERT television adaptation of “The Great Chimera”. He plays Kastrinos, a wealthy and charming cosmopolitan, a role considered pivotal to Marina's story. His involvement in the series is purely emotional, as he wishes to honor his grandfather's work. Tarlou, born in 1966, never knew his grandfather but learned about his human side through his mother's stories. His mother's relationship with Karagatsis was traumatic due to the author's early death. Tarlou has dedicated much of his career to theatrical adaptations of Karagatsis's works, such as “The Great Chimera” and “The Bey of Kastropyrgos”.
