Over €312 million wagered in betting in one quarter

The gross revenue of Class A (land-based betting) and Class B (online betting) recipients in Cyprus increased by 7% in the 3rd quarter of 2025, reaching €312.48 million, compared to €292.01 million in the same period of 2024. The increase compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023 is even greater, reaching 20%. Revenue from online betting (Class B) increased by 10% compared to 2024 and by 25% compared to 2023, while revenue from land-based betting (Class A) decreased slightly by 1%. Player winnings amounted to €277.45 million, with the largest share going to Class B players (€214.29 million). The number of licensed Class A premises decreased by 2%, while efforts to block illegal betting websites continue, with the list including 21,825 websites.
