Russian Businessman Vanishes in Limassol, Cyprus

An intensive search is underway for a 56-year-old Russian businessman who disappeared in Limassol on January 7th. The businessman, who has been living and working in Cyprus for several years, was reportedly wearing shorts and a short-sleeved shirt when he went missing. The last signal from his mobile phone was detected in the Pissouri area, where the authorities are concentrating their efforts. The 56-year-old lives alone in Cyprus, with his residence located above his company's offices. He did not own a private vehicle and appears to have called a taxi, which dropped him off in Pissouri. The authorities have specific information that they are currently processing. The businessman is active in the financial sector and has previously been involved with foreign police authorities. He was extradited to Russia, where he was convicted and served a house arrest sentence in 2013. Following his release, he moved to Cyprus, where he has been residing permanently. So far, he has not been involved with the Cypriot authorities.
