Putin: Dozens of Countries Suffer from Lack of Respect for Their Sovereign Rights

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that dozens of countries around the world are suffering from a lack of respect for their sovereign rights and from chaos and lawlessness. He emphasized that these countries do not have the strength and resources to defend themselves and that diplomacy and the search for consensus are increasingly being replaced by unilateral and dangerous actions. Putin stressed the need for compliance with international law and for building a more just multipolar world order, where all states have the right to determine their own destiny and preserve their culture and traditions. He expressed hope that conflicts and hardships will remain in the past. Russia, according to Putin, is committed to the ideals of a multipolar world and seeks to maintain open and mutually beneficial relations with all partners interested in cooperation. He reaffirmed Russia's support for the United Nations as a central pillar of global affairs. These statements were made during the ceremony of receiving credentials from the new ambassadors of 32 countries in Moscow and represent a programmatic statement on international developments in the new year, highlighting Russia's criticism of the current international situation and its desire for a new world order.
