RTK Aims for Power in 2026, President Declares

The President of the RTK, Sila Usar Incirli, announced that the party's main goal is to take power in 2026. During an event celebrating the RTK's 55th anniversary, Ms. Incirli described the party as the "organized conscience of the people" and pledged a unifying and participatory approach to governance. She also criticized the current "government," arguing that the "country" is facing a governance vacuum and a security crisis, with lawlessness and shadowy networks operating. The RTK, according to Ms. Incirli, is ready to address these problems and return the "state" to the service of the "people." Its economic plans include protecting labor, producers, and youth employment, as well as creating an economic system based on production and promoting a "green and resilient economy." Emphasis was also placed on combating the informal economy and ensuring tax justice. Regarding social policy, the RTK President highlighted support for women's work and entrepreneurship, as well as protecting the purchasing power of lower wages. She also pledged to encourage trade union organization in the private sector and strengthen the public sector in strategic areas such as education, health, energy, and transportation. Finally, Ms. Incirli reaffirmed the RTK's commitment to a federal solution to the Cyprus issue, based on two communities, two zones, and political equality. The event was also attended by the leaders of the "governing coalition" parties, expressing their support for the RTK President.
