Justice Minister to Meet Police Unions Over Working Hours and Shift Allowances

Justice Minister Kostas Fytiris will meet today with representatives of the police unions to discuss the working hours of police officers, following reactions to the Police Chief's announcements regarding a reduction in shift allowances. He will first meet with the Cyprus Police Association and then with the ISOTITA Union. The unions have accused the reduction in shift allowances of violating the labor rights of police officers and constituting a blatant disregard for institutions. The meetings are expected to shed light on the next steps of the government and trade union organizations.
