Israel Confirms Ban on Access to Gaza for 37 NGOs

Israel has confirmed it will ban access to the Gaza Strip for 37 international humanitarian organizations due to their failure to provide employee lists as required by a new regulation. This new rule has raised concerns about further delays in the delivery of humanitarian aid, given the critical situation in Gaza, where the population faces severe challenges regarding shelter, healthcare, and food. The Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs cites the need to ensure security and transparency, as well as prevent the infiltration of terrorists into humanitarian structures. Among the affected organizations are Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the Norwegian Refugee Council, Care, World Vision, and Oxfam. The decision follows strong criticism from the international community and shortly after the deadline for compliance with the new regulation passed.
