Turkey: Turkish Airlines Resumes Flights to Tehran

Turkish Airlines resumed flights to Tehran today, following a temporary suspension since last Friday. According to the company's website, at least one flight was operated and another is expected later today, while four flights were cancelled. The company has not yet commented on the resumption of flights. Turkey maintains a discreet stance regarding the situation in Iran and continues to ban demonstrations in support of the protesters. The Turkish Foreign Minister accused Israel of involvement in the situation in Iran, arguing that the protests have been instrumentalized by external factors. According to Iran Human Rights, at least 3,428 protesters have been killed in Iran since the start of the demonstrations, with over 10,000 arrests. The organization considers these numbers to be a minimum. The resumption of Turkish Airlines flights to Tehran signals a possible effort to restore relations and stabilize the situation in the region, despite the ongoing protests and tensions.
