Travel Advice for Middle East from Foreign Office, Includes Cyprus

The British Foreign Office has issued travel advice for at least 18 countries in the wider Middle East region, including Cyprus, stating that there is an “increased risk of regional escalation” due to the ongoing crisis and the exercise of violence within Iran. It advises British nationals to take necessary precautions when travelling, among others, to the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, Egypt, Turkey, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, etc. The Foreign Office emphasizes in its announcement that the escalation of tensions “could cause travel problems” as well as “other unforeseen consequences”. It adds that “escalation could lead to travel disruptions and other unforeseen impacts”.
