Troodos: Which Ski Slopes are Open and What Applies to Roads

The first snowfalls in Cyprus have brought increased traffic to Troodos, but the operation of the ski slopes remains limited. Only specific slopes for beginners and children are open, while most of the main slopes remain closed due to insufficient snow cover or safety reasons. An incident with 4x4 vehicles entering a closed slope led to its temporary closure. The authorities call on the public to be particularly careful when traveling to Troodos and when using the facilities, as weather conditions are constantly changing. The use of 4x4 vehicles or anti-slip chains is required in many parts of the mountain road network, especially in the morning or after snowfall and frost. Specifically, the Family Run SV 1 and the Sun Valley Baby Lift remain open, which are intended for learning and mild activity in the snow. The Sun Valley I and II slopes, as well as the North Face slopes, are closed. The authorities remind that unnecessary movement of vehicles within the ski slope areas is prohibited and may create dangers.
