One Dead, Dozens Injured as 'Meteorological Tsunami' Hits Argentina Beach

A 'meteorological tsunami' caused chaos and tragedy at Santa Clara del Mar beach in Argentina. A 29-year-old Argentine equestrian, Yair Amir Mano Nunez, lost his life after being swept away by the waves and hitting rocks. Another 35 people were injured, and one man suffered a heart attack. The phenomenon, caused by sudden changes in atmospheric pressure due to weather disturbances, unexpectedly hit the coast, sweeping away objects and causing panic. Authorities warn that the phenomenon is unpredictable and it is unclear if it will happen again. Meteorological tsunamis differ from seismic tsunamis as they are not caused by underwater seismic activity.
