DR: Danish Soldiers in Greenland Ordered to Combat Readiness

Danish soldiers deployed to Greenland have been ordered to be combat-ready in the event of a US attack, according to Danish public broadcaster DR. The Danish military requested that the troops be equipped with live ammunition and is considering sending additional forces and resources. This move follows aggressive statements by US President Donald Trump regarding the acquisition of Greenland, although he appeared to back down from these statements, announcing an "unclear" agreement in Davos. The initial deployment of Danish soldiers to Greenland was part of the Arctic Endurance military exercises, in collaboration with other NATO countries. However, after the US threats, eight European countries sent troops to the island, with some already returning home. The Danish Minister of Defence declined to comment on the information, but the move suggests increased tension in the region and preparation for a potential conflict scenario.
