«The promise that remains»: The First Group Exhibition of the Beauty Line Art Foundation

The Beauty Line Art Foundation (BAF) presents the group exhibition “The promise that remains,” which is the culmination of a two-month residency program for four artists: Anna Psalti, Irini Kattou, Marina Iereidi (lamarina), and Savina Ioannou. The exhibition, opening in Nicosia, examines the concept of promise and what remains when it collapses or falls silent, focusing on traces, shadows, and the fragile architecture that remains. The artists worked under the guidance of four mentors and used various media and materials to approach the promise as an unstable field between presence and absence. The works explore the transformation, persistence, and dissolution of relationships, as well as the birth of new meanings. The exhibition does not seek a single narrative but offers an experience of dwelling and listening, a oscillation between before and after, where the unspoken functions as an active condition. It is understood as an invitation to the viewer to move within this tension, in something unfulfilled, that persists and leaves its mark. The BAF was founded in 2024 in Nicosia with the aim of strengthening the role of art in contemporary society through mentoring programs, educational workshops, and exhibitions. The Foundation’s strategic goal is to create a permanent collection of contemporary Cypriot art. The exhibition will run until March 14, 2026.
