Weather Deterioration Expected Tonight – Rain and Isolated Storms

The Department of Meteorology announced that local rains are expected tonight, with the possibility of isolated storms along the coast. In the event of a storm, there is a possibility of hail, and later, on the highest peaks of Troodos, sleet is expected. The winds will mainly be north-easterly to south-easterly, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, and locally strong, 6 Beaufort, on the windward sides. The sea will be up to wavy. The same weather pattern is expected to prevail tomorrow, with local rains and the possibility of storms. The temperature will be around 15 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast, and 4 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains, where frost will be observed locally. For Saturday, local rains and isolated storms are expected, as well as snow in the higher mountains, with possible improvement in the weather in the afternoon. On Sunday and Monday, the weather will be partly cloudy with the possibility of rain in the mountains.
