“Agropoiesis: Soils/Bodies” Exhibition at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Cyprus is preparing to host its first exhibition, titled “Agropoiesis: Soils/Bodies”. The exhibition is organized within the framework of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026 and the Deputy Ministry of Culture, and aims to present art as a means of dialogue and the promotion of Cypriot values in Europe. The opening will take place on January 29, 2026, with the exhibition opening to the public the following day. Curated by Dr. Elena Parpa, the exhibition will feature works by more than fifty Cypriot artists, both historical and contemporary, exploring the relationship between humans and nature, place and history. It will be accompanied by a special publication with texts by writers and a parallel program of events, including guided tours, artist presentations, film screenings and a symposium.
