Russia Claims Retaliatory Strike with 'Oreshnik' Missile on Lviv After Alleged Attack on Putin's Residence

Russia announced that it launched the hypersonic Oreshnik missile against a target in Ukraine, in response to a Ukrainian attack on Vladimir Putin's residence. Ukraine dismissed the Russian claim regarding the attack on Putin's residence, calling it a “lie.” Reports indicate that the Russian strike hit infrastructure in Lviv, following a Russian barrage of 242 drones and 36 missiles on Ukrainian infrastructure. Russia claims the Oreshnik is impossible to intercept and has destructive power comparable to a nuclear weapon. Simultaneously, a power outage affecting over 500,000 people in Russia's Belgorod region was reported due to a Ukrainian attack.
