President of the Commission faces another vote of no confidence

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is expected to face another vote of no confidence in the European Parliament next week in Strasbourg. The motion is being submitted by the far-right group “Patriots for Europe,” which strongly criticizes the President over the trade agreement with Mercosur countries. This is the fourth vote of no confidence filed against von der Leyen and her Commission in six months. To be debated and put to a vote, the motion must be supported by at least 10% of MEPs.
