Interior Ministry Responds to Audit Office on Shelters

The Ministry of Interior has responded to the Audit Office regarding its report on shelters, acknowledging gaps and weaknesses in the program. It notes that improvement measures have been implemented over the past three years, with an emphasis on creating shelters in public spaces (underground parking lots, supermarkets, etc.) rather than in basements of private homes. The SafeCY application, created to inform the public, has been improved after corrections made in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Innovation and the “KOIOS” Center. The Ministry agrees with the findings of the Audit Office and confirms the need to reorganize and modernize the shelter program.
