Police Protest Outside Parliament Over Working Hours

Police officers held a protest outside the Parliament building, objecting to the change in their working hours from 12x36 to 11x37. The police organization, Isotita, claims that the decision by the Police Leadership is unilateral, imposed through a circular without the consent of the Council of Ministers and the Parliament, and constitutes an attack on labor rights and the Rule of Law. Furthermore, Isotita argues that the change leads to work intensification and violates the Police Law, which stipulates that terms of service must be regulated by Council of Ministers Regulations. The organization accuses the Police Leadership of overstepping its authority and violating the separation of powers, while emphasizing the need to respect police officers who protect society.
