Cyprus, Greece and Israel to Hold Joint Military Exercises

Cyprus, Greece and Israel will hold joint military exercises in 2026, as part of the GEFF's activity planning. The Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, stated that the exercises will include training of the three armies, staff training, and other forms of cooperation to improve their capabilities. These exercises are a continuation of the military cooperation between the three countries, which has intensified in recent years. Cyprus also has agreements for exercises with Egypt, Jordan and other friendly countries. A recent joint naval exercise between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt took place in late November. The signing of the agreement for the exercises concerns the activities of the coming year, namely 2026. The dates and details of the exercises will be determined by the military staffs of the three countries, depending on needs and conditions. The joint exercises aim to strengthen regional security and address common challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean.
