Police Sweep in Limassol: 21 Third-Country Nationals Arrested for Illegal Stay

The Cyprus Police conducted a large-scale operation in Limassol to identify and arrest third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus. During the operation, which lasted from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 21 individuals were arrested. The operation was carried out by members of the Police, the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM), and the Green Line Monitoring and Migration Flow Management Sub-Directorate. The aim was to enforce immigration laws and ensure public safety. The arrested individuals are nationals of third countries, and the authorities are proceeding with procedures for their immediate repatriation, in cooperation with other relevant agencies. The operation is part of the ongoing efforts of the Police to address illegal immigration in Cyprus. The Police is committed to continuing checks and operations to identify and address illegal residence in Cyprus, in order to ensure compliance with the law and protect citizens.
