The first major poll by RAI Consultants ahead of the 2026 Parliamentary Elections reveals a dynamic shift in the Cypriot political landscape. The Democratic Rally (DISY) leads with a slight margin over AKEL, while the 'Alma' Movement and the 'Direct Democracy' party appear to be gaining seats in Parliament, marking a new dynamic in representation. ELAM seems to be consolidating its position in third place, with DIKO falling to sixth. Volt is also vying for a place in parliament, while parties such as DIPA, EDEK, and the Ecologists show lower projections. Parties outside parliament, such as the Hunters, the Animal Party, and DIMAL, struggle to exceed the 1.5% threshold. The poll highlights the increasing importance of social media in political communication, with the electorate closely monitoring the announcements and posts of parties and candidates. Facebook is the dominant platform, with 31% of respondents using it daily to stay informed about political developments. Regarding the assessment of the Christodoulides government, 25% of respondents state they are not at all satisfied, while 37% are not very satisfied. However, the President's foreign policy appears to be gaining positive feedback, with 32% stating they are quite satisfied and 18% very satisfied. Despite the general disappointment with the parties, 73% of citizens say they are certain to vote in the next elections, while a significant percentage (34%) say they are disappointed with the party they voted for in 2021 and intend to change their vote.
