Saudi Arabia Bypasses Strait of Hormuz – How It Exports 6 Million Barrels of Oil Per Day

Saudi Arabia is increasing its oil exports via the East-West pipeline, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. Reports indicate the pipeline is operating at full capacity, transporting around 7 million barrels per day, with exports from the Yanbu port reaching 5 million barrels and petroleum products 700,000-900,000 barrels. Aramco confirmed the pipeline would operate at full capacity due to geopolitical tensions and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran, which has driven oil prices above $100 a barrel. The conflict in the Persian Gulf has caused disruption in energy markets and shipping.
