“My God, my father is coming!”: Testimonies from Laura’s classmates about her relationship with her parents (video)

The ELAS (Greek Police) continues its search for 16-year-old Laura, who disappeared from Patras on January 8th. Police estimate that the girl is in Athens, in the Zografou area, possibly even within the University Campus. Testimonies from Laura’s classmates reveal that she faced problems in her relationship with her father and that she feared him. Classmates reported that Laura had told them her father pressured her and set limits, controlling her mobile phone and restricting her freedom. The testimonies describe a relationship with intense disagreements and psychological violence, with Laura feeling compelled to hang up the phone when she realized her father was approaching. Classmates mention that Laura always wore the same clothes, as if she wasn’t cared for enough. The girl had deactivated her mobile phones and her social media accounts, making the police’s work more difficult. The search continues at an intensive pace, while Laura’s family and friends are asking for her to be found as soon as possible.
