Iran Threatens US Bases After Trump's Warnings - Escalating Tensions

Iran has threatened to attack US military bases located in countries in the region if the US attacks Iranian territory. This warning came after President Trump's statements regarding anti-government protests in Iran. According to an Iranian official, Tehran has informed countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey of the possibility of an attack on US bases within their borders if the US attacks Iran. At the same time, the official stated that direct communication between Washington and Tehran has been disrupted due to Trump's threats. Trump had warned that the US would “react harshly” if protesters were executed. Relatives of 26-year-old Erfan Soltani, who was arrested last week, stated that his execution has been scheduled, raising concerns among humanitarian organizations. Trump warned that Iran would “pay a heavy price” for the killings and called on people to continue protesting.
