Iran Warns US Against Intervention Amid Protests

Ali Larijani, an advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, warned Donald Trump that any US intervention in Iran's internal affairs could destabilize the entire region and harm American interests. This warning comes in response to Trump's statement that the US could assist protesters if authorities resort to violence. Protests in Iran began in Tehran due to the rising cost of living and have expanded to include political demands, with clashes resulting in at least six deaths. Another advisor, Ali Shamkhani, described potential US intervention as a "red line" that would receive a "paid response". The protests have spread to at least 15 cities, causing damage to public buildings.
