Shocking details are emerging about the victims of the bloody crackdown on anti-government protests in Iran, despite the extensive internet blackout imposed in the country. Among the hundreds of dead are a 23-year-old fashion student, a father of three, and a former world bodybuilding champion. According to human rights organizations, at least 540 protesters have been killed in the last 15 days, including eight children. Robina Aminian, 23, was studying fashion design and dreamed of moving to Milan. She was killed by a gunshot to the head during a protest in Tehran. Her family was forced to bury her without a ceremony after authorities initially refused to hand over her body. Her uncle described her as a strong and brave woman who thirsted for freedom. Ebrahim Yousefi, 42, a father of three and hospital worker, was also killed by a gunshot to the head in Kermanshah. Communication with his family has been cut off and it is unclear whether his body has been returned. In the city of Rasht, Mehdi Zatparvar, 39, a former classic bodybuilding world champion, was killed. The protests in Iran continue despite the intense crackdown by security forces. Protesters are demanding more freedoms and rights, as well as the lifting of restrictions imposed on women.
