Kurds in Cyprus Protest Attacks in Rojava

Kurds residing in Cyprus held a protest rally and marched towards the House of Europe and the Parliament today, protesting the attacks in Rojava. They demand an end to the "genocidal attacks" and intervention from the European Union, the United Nations, and the international community. In the situation report they submitted to the European Commission and the European Parliament, they denounce war crimes by Turkey and its allies, as well as the risk of ISIS regrouping. They point out that the provision of basic services, such as electricity, water, and internet, has been disrupted in the city of Kobani. The protesters accuse Rojava of being targeted for extermination, like other communities in Syria, and that the silence of international powers is leading to the release of ISIS prisoners. They called on everyone to stand with the Kurdish resistance, describing silence as complicity. The announcement emphasizes that Kurds from various parts of Kurdistan are heading to Rojava to participate in the resistance, highlighting the people's will to defend their existence.
