Cyprus Calls for De-escalation in Venezuela, Ready to Offer Consular Assistance

The Republic of Cyprus is closely monitoring developments in Venezuela, in coordination with the European Union and other international partners. Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kompos is in constant contact with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, emphasizing the need for de-escalation, restraint, and a solution that respects international law. Cyprus maintains its standing travel advisory to avoid all travel to Venezuela and is ready to provide consular assistance to Cypriot citizens in the country, if necessary.
