Large Police Operation in Larnaca: 5 Arrested for Involvement in Criminal Organisation – Weapons, Bulletproof Vests and Batons Found in Their Homes

Five people have been arrested by the Larnaca TAE (Crime Investigation Department) as suspects in a case involving the offences of participation in a criminal organisation, participation and acceptance of the commission of crimes, conspiracy to commit a felony, extortion, demanding property under threats with the intention of theft, and money laundering. The offences are alleged to have been committed between 2023 and 2025 in the province of Larnaca. During a coordinated operation involving various services, searches were carried out at the homes and vehicles of the suspects. €1,050, gold jewellery of unknown value, mobile phones, two bulletproof vests, two imitation pistols, a folding baton and other items were found and seized. In addition, two vehicles and a firearm, for which the holder did not have a license, were confiscated. One of the arrested individuals was already a defendant and was arrested at the Central Prisons. The five suspects are expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court today for the issuance of detention orders. The Larnaca TAE continues its investigations.
