Odesa: 3 Children Injured in Russian Drone Strike

Four people, including three children, were injured in a Russian drone strike on Odesa, Ukraine, overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, according to Serhiy Lysak, the head of the city's military administration. The drone strike caused damage to “apartment buildings” and “infrastructure,” particularly “energy” facilities, and sparked fires, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the regional military administration. The three children are 7 months, 8, and 14 years old, and a 42-year-old man is in serious condition. The attack occurred amid escalating tensions between Kyiv and Moscow, despite reports of progress in talks for a potential peace agreement. Ukraine dismissed Russia’s accusations of a Ukrainian drone strike against President Vladimir Putin’s residence, while President Zelenskyy announced a meeting with leaders of countries supporting Ukraine on January 6 in France.
