The Legal Service of Cyprus is remaining silent regarding the video that was released and allegedly records conversations between political and business figures regarding potential illegal funding and circumvention of sanctions. In response to a question from the Cyprus News Agency, the Communication Prosecutor, Paulina Evthivoulou, replied briefly that the Legal Service will not comment on anything at this stage. The video includes conversations between former Energy Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis, Director of the President's Office Charalambos Charalambous, and businessman Giorgos Chrysoshoos with individuals allegedly interested in investing in Cyprus. These conversations raise questions about potential illegalities. The government has already rejected the content of the video, questioning its authenticity and speaking of an attempt to manipulate public opinion and a hybrid threat. The silence of the Legal Service intensifies speculation about the case and the possible investigation of the allegations.
