Journalist Spyros Karatzasferis Passes Away

Journalist Spyros Karatzasferis has passed away at the age of 88. The news was announced by his brother, Giorgos Karatzasferis, former president of LAOS. Spyros Karatzasferis was one of Greece's leading journalists, known for his investigative and revealing journalism, particularly during the Metapolitefsi period. He had revealed classified state plans and documents of the Armed Forces and intelligence services. His career included collaborations with major newspapers such as “Vradyni”, “Ethnos”, “Apogevmatini” and “Eleftherotypia”, as well as work in television (ERT, YENED, Star Channel, etc.) and radio (Flash 96). Giorgos Karatzasferis expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of his brother, emphasizing Spyros Karatzasferis's significant contribution to Greek journalism.
