Five Arrests and 216 Traffic Violations in Overnight Police Operations

The Cyprus Police continue their targeted operations to prevent criminal activity and ensure public order. During recent operations, five individuals were arrested for various offenses, including burglary, theft, causing disturbance, and driving under the influence of alcohol. Checks were also carried out on vehicles and premises, resulting in 216 traffic violations, of which 38 concerned driving under the influence of alcohol and four tested positive for drugs. Additionally, ten vehicles were impounded as part of the investigation of traffic offenses. These operations are part of a broader and enhanced preventative plan by the Police, with an increased presence in key urban areas and targeted checks. The aim is to further prevent crime and strengthen the sense of security of citizens. The Police are committed to the continuous implementation of these measures, adapting their tactics according to the needs and challenges facing society.
