Putin: Russia-Europe Relations in Crisis, Moscow Not to Blame

Vladimir Putin stated that relations between Russia and Europe are in crisis, but attributed the blame not to Moscow, but to the previous US administration and certain European leaders. He argued that Russia has not abandoned the effort to restore relations with Europe, but considers the justifications linking the crisis to events in Ukraine to be insufficient. Putin referred to the 2014 coup in Ukraine, which, according to him, was supported by the West and led to a chain of tragic events. Furthermore, he emphasized that Russia does not want to sever ties with Europe and remains open to dialogue, despite the current difficulties. The crisis, according to Putin, is a result of political decisions and not Russian actions.
