Paphos EOA on Alert Due to Weather - No Damage Reported So Far

The Paphos Provincial Self-Governing Body (PSGB) is on high alert due to the extreme weather conditions affecting the region. Emergency response teams have been organized to immediately address potential flooding, and critical areas such as drains and grates are being continuously inspected to ensure proper function. The teams are operating in municipalities, as well as in the communities of Emba and Chlorakas, in collaboration with local authorities. So far, no damage or problems have been reported in Paphos despite the strong winds. The president of the PSGB of Paphos, Charalambos Pittokopitis, stated that the teams are fully prepared and are moving at regular intervals to respond to any unforeseen weather events. At the same time, Hermes Airports announced that the extreme weather conditions have not affected flights at Paphos Airport, ensuring its smooth operation. The readiness of the PSGB of Paphos and the lack of damage reports indicate effective management of the situation, despite the adverse weather conditions.
