Oil Prices Fall Up to 3% After Trump's Iran Comments

Oil prices dropped as much as 3% in international markets following statements by Donald Trump regarding Iran. Trump stated that “the killings” in Iran are “over” and remained vague about the possibility of a U.S. military operation against the Islamic Republic. Prices had previously risen due to escalating tensions in Iran and the violent suppression of protests. Specifically, WTI fell 3% to $60.16 a barrel, while North Sea Brent declined by 2.87% to $64.61 a barrel.
