The Limassol Police Department (ADE) conducted a large-scale operation in barber shops across the city, focusing on businesses managed by foreigners and the enforcement of the shop assistant law. During the operation, 15 barber shops were inspected, with 11 found closed and the remaining four operating without a license or in violation of their operating hours. Additionally, one restaurant was reported for similar offenses. A total of six foreigners were arrested, three for illegal stay and three for immediate offenses related to illegal employment. Another eight foreigners were reported for undeclared work and were fined a total of €26,800. Two businesses were also reported for not issuing receipts and not using electronic payment machines. The Limassol ADE announced that checks will be intensified in the future.
