Cyprus Inflation Drops to 0.1% in 2025 - Lowest Since 2020

Inflation in Cyprus saw a significant decrease in 2025, reaching 0.1% compared to 1.81% in 2024. This level is the lowest recorded since 2020, according to the Statistical Service. The largest price reduction was observed in the clothing and footwear sector (-6.48%), followed by transportation (-1.38%), and furniture, household equipment, and cleaning products (-0.7%). A smaller decrease was recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.41%). Conversely, increases were recorded in restaurants and hotels (4.72%), education (3.65%), and recreation and culture (3.10%). These increases partially offset the declines in other sectors. On a monthly basis, inflation fell by 0.5% in December 2025, and by 0.5% in November of the same year. For comparison, inflation rose by 2.6% in December 2024. The most significant changes compared to December 2024 were in Services (3.1%), Electricity (-9.4%), and Agricultural Products (-5.8%).
