AHK and OCYP Agree on Photovoltaics for Limassol and Famagusta Hospitals

The AHK (Electricity Authority of Cyprus) and the OCYP (State Health Services Organisation) have signed an agreement for the installation of photovoltaic systems in the parking areas of Limassol and Famagusta Hospitals. The projects are expected to be completed by 2027 and will include the construction of metal canopies for the placement of photovoltaic panels, providing shade and energy utilization. The total capacity of the systems is estimated at 3.5 MW (2.7 MW in Limassol and 0.8 MW in Famagusta). The AHK will provide specialized services for the design, licensing, technical evaluation and supervision of the projects. The agreement builds on the successful collaboration between the two organizations for the installation of a photovoltaic system at Nicosia Hospital, which has been operational since October 2024.
