Man Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer in Thessaloniki

A 30-year-old Greek national was arrested in Thessaloniki after being accused of impersonating a police officer. The arrest was made by motorcycle police officers from the 'Z' team. The 30-year-old was found riding a motorcycle wearing a bulletproof vest identical to those used by police officers, as well as flashing blue lights and a badge with the inscription 'POLICE OFFICER'. All these elements indicated that he was pretending to be a police officer. A case file was prepared against him for the acts of fraud and impersonation. The suspect was taken to the competent prosecutor to be held accountable for his actions. The Police continue their investigations to determine the motive of the 30-year-old and whether he is involved in other illegal activities. The case has caused unrest among local authorities.
