Snowfall Continues in Troodos, Rainfall at 31% of January's Expected Amount

Snowfall continues in Troodos, although it is expected to gradually subside. The snow depth at the top of Troodos is currently around three to four centimeters, while rainfall until Monday morning corresponds to 31% of the monthly expected amount for January. The Meteorological Service reports that the rainfall was significant, especially over the weekend. Although snowfall will continue intermittently, it is expected to decrease from Tuesday evening. The snowfall is important for replenishing the aquifer, as it melts slowly and feeds the dams.
