President Christodoulides Holds Meetings on Pension Reform, Energy, and Water Issues

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, held a series of meetings at the Presidential Palace focusing on pension reform, energy policy, and the water issue. The pension reform meeting discussed goals such as pension adequacy and sustainability. Regarding the water issue, measures to address the prolonged drought were examined, including the use of desalination and recycled water. Finally, developments at the Vasiliko LNG terminal and the commercial exploitation of natural gas reserves in the Cypriot EEZ were discussed. An upcoming ministerial visit to the UAE for cooperation on energy and water projects was also on the agenda.
