Two Businessmen Arrested in Larnaca: Alleged Involvement in Shooting Case

Two businessmen in Larnaca have been arrested and remanded in custody for four days, suspected of interfering with a judicial process and conspiracy. Their arrest is related to the shooting case in the center of Larnaca, where they allegedly had meetings with the complainant. According to the Police, the businessmen assured the complainant that they had no connection to the shooting case. However, the complainant allegedly changed his testimony, stating that one businessman offered him a partnership and knew the other from a previous case. He also reportedly mentioned issues of protection and a foreigner who was asking him for money. During a search of the 47-year-old businessman's office, €103,915 and 42 checks were found. The Police are investigating the origin of the money and its possible connection to the case. Investigators are examining the meetings between the businessmen and the complainant and trying to determine whether there was an attempt to influence the judicial investigation. The lawyer for the two businessmen stated that they have no connection to factions and are cooperating with the authorities to solve the case.
