Turkey and Greece Strengthen Customs Cooperation

The 11th bilateral meeting of the Customs Authorities of Greece and Turkey took place in Istanbul, aiming to enhance cooperation and achieve a bilateral trade volume of $10 billion. The meeting was attended by Turkish Deputy Minister of Commerce, Sezai Uçarmak, and President of the Greek Customs Administration, Georgios Pitsilis. Discussions focused on facilitating trade flows, accelerating border crossings, and strengthening infrastructure at the Kipi and Kastanies customs offices. Issues related to projects such as the 'Bridge of Friendship' and the implementation of programs for Authorized Economic Operator companies were also discussed. A Joint Declaration and Minutes were signed, confirming the commitment of both countries to further strengthen customs cooperation.
